Hunting Blackbear is our specialty and your success is our 1st priority!

Runningen Bear Camp is located in Grand Marais, Minnesota (Zone 31) The Minnesota Black Bear Season runs from September to the middle of October.

Minnesota Black Bear applications are available late March and are due the 1st Friday in May.

While hunting with Runningen Bear Camp Outfitters, not only could you see Black Bears, you could also see Moose, Pine Martin, Timber Wolves, Whitetail Deer, and many more creatures.

Baiting begins as soon as the law and regulations allow. All baits are checked daily from opening day to the last day of the hunt.

Runningen Bear Camp will accommodate Bows, Crossbows, Muzzleloaders, Handguns, Rifle & Shotgun hunters.

Stand placement and shooting lanes will be taken care of before the 1st day of the hunt. You will be hunting out of portable and ladder tree stands. Hunting with Runningen Bear Camp Outfitters, all hunters MUST wear Safety Harnesses/Belts while hunting out of stands.

Hunters may stay in our cabins located in camp. If you prefer optional lodging, we can assist you in locating local motels. Cost of the motel is the hunter’s responsibility.
